Hello! And welcome to my thesis blog. Here is the video of my thesis pitch and I have included captions below. Enjoy!
I’ve always been a fan of Teikoku Shounen, AKA Imperial Boy, Theo Prins and Sergi Brosa. They’re all digital artists with a gifted talent of taking dense, visual imagery, specifically cities and present all of those fine details in a very focused way. Hi, my name is Tishura Khan, a senior at the Rochester Institute of Technology and I’d like to follow in their footsteps and create a piece that it is not only chaotically appealing, but visually composed. My piece will feature a character entering a bazaar built on a crash site in the middle of the desert. With stalls selling goods that upon first glance, look like they belong to another world. The inspiration for this piece comes from the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar in Egypt as each small space always seems packed with fine objects of filigree design. The final will be turntables focusing on specific assets in the environment as well as a final grandiose orbiting animatic of the whole bazaar. I plan to achieve the same focused abilities as the aforementioned artists by presenting dense creations in a beautiful way.
